Property Risk Checker collects the property addresses you search for to provide you with natural hazard information. We temporarily log coordinate queries for diagnostic and performance purposes, but these are not tied to your personal identity.

The information gathered is used exclusively to fetch, cache, and display natural hazard exposure and related property data from public sources such as council GIS services and LINZ.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. To retrieve hazard data, our servers pass your query coordinates to third-party APIs such as council GIS services and LINZ. Those requests are made by us on your behalf, so those providers see our server, not you.
4. Analytics and Caching
We use caching to improve performance and reduce load on upstream council servers. As a result, hazard data presented to you may be served from a recent cache rather than a live query.
